Klaus Hubacek

Klaus Hubacek is a Professor of Science, Technology, and Society at the University of Groningen, Netherlands, and chairs the Integrated Research on Energy, Environment, and Society (IREES) and the Energy and Sustainability Research Institute Groningen (ESRIG). He is also a visiting professor at the University of Maryland. Klaus previously held positions at institutions like the University of Leeds, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on modeling interactions between human and environmental systems. A highly cited researcher, he has published over 200 articles on climate change, land use, and ecosystem management. Klaus contributed to the IPCC's 6th assessment report, focusing on behavior and consumption-based emissions.
